I guess that I should have know that when we committed to a date for WWKIP so early that something would come along to shake things up!
The date for the World Wide Knit in Public event for Mad About Ewe Fine Yarns has been pushed back a week! We are switching from June 14th to June 21st. Just like last year the Multicultural Festival is the same weekend as our first date! While knitting is multicultural in nature I am not sure that Wesley street could hold us all!
When Emily was at the TNNA in Indianapolis she saw lots of fabulous yarns – some of which are already starting to arrive! Just today a gorgeous selection of new La Jolla colours by Baah! have arrived and are out!
And the day before yesterday – umm – that would be Tuesday! WoolBuddies arrived!
These needle felting kits are the cutest kits we have ever seen! Each kit comes complete with needle, full instructions and the roving! Dorothy has just fallen in love with the Moose, Emily the Angler Fish, me (Lynette) the Frog! Brenda couldn’t pick just one and Amanda hasn’t seen them yet! With 27 different kits to chose from – which will be your favorite!
Not into the kits because you have it all – how about a book with 20 of the cutest buddies that you will ever see!? The Wool Buddies book is here as well!
Remember the Yak down yarns, Embrace and Bloom? Well, Emily has just finished knitting the cowl pattern – Rivoletto – a free pattern with purchase of the Embrace yarn! This yarn has to be touched, fondled, etc, to be able to truly appreciate the softness of the Yak fibre! There is an amazing selection of colours and I am sure that you will fall in love with one of them!
The Summer pi KAL’s are underway. I have heard a rumour that Brenda has already finished one. How about you! Come in and share your efforts!
Happy Knitting
Lynette
