This week sends students back to school and teachers back to work. Last week was the last Wednesday’s Stitch and Bitch for our participating teachers – they will be missed!
Labour Day Weekend is considered the last weekend of the summer. Everyone tries to get away and relax before gearing up for the advent of fall and winter. We are no exception. Summer is our “quiet” time. Knitters are often travelling, gardening or golfing and it is often too hot for any but the most avid of knitters to take needles in hand. You can guess what kind of knitter I am!
This last weekend I was off to Gabriola Island to visit with friends. We had two gorgeous days, followed by a day a rain – it seemed suitable – as we had to go home! But I did get some knitting done. You’ve seen most of the fall class projects – my next deadline is the projects and samples for the Retreat in February! I got the first sample done and started the large sample – and did some knitting for myself! I also ate some great food, visited the local market and vendors – spent some money and saw and incrdible sunset! It was a great weekend – I hope that you all had the same!
Happy Knitting and Looking forward to seeing you all in the fall!
