This years Summer Classes and Activities include lace, cables, painting and fun! I am sitting here with the Calendar in front of me and making sure that the dates will all work! The workshops will run in the courtyard, weather permitting, from 9:30 to 4:00.
World Wide Knit-Out In Public Day – This is the first of our Summer Activities. We have chosen to celebrate our craft on the last Saturday of the WWKOPW – June 25th.
We had such a good time in the courtyard last year we are hoping that more will join us! Come for a little while or stay for the day. Bring a chair, some refreshments to sustain yourself – and of course your kniting!!
Summer Lace – Knitting and Painting
– This 2 part workshop will run July 7 th and August 25th!
Weather permitting we will run the workshops in the courtyard. These workshops will cover the creation to painting of a lace scarf. The yarn is Alpaca which takes dyes very well without too much movement. There will be 3 styles to choose from. The simplest of the knits is pictured. The others will be posted as finished. There is a very lacy version and a stole version. If you wish to knit and paint the stole there will be an additonal fee of $15.00 for the
extra materials.
The cost is $150.00. This will cover the materials fee, yarn, blocking/painting board, brush and access to a large selection of dyes for painting. There will be snacks, tea and coffee available as well. You will need to supply your knitting needles and lunches.
Summer Socks – From plain to Fancy – new to cables learn to knit the easy version of these sock – want to challenge yourself add beading to your knitting skills with the cuffed and beaded version. Cost $60.00 + materials. July 19th.
Our Second Annual PicKnit

Last years went very well so we are going to try again. Neck Point, with the parking so close to a great picnic area, worked well last year so lets keep with success and repeat! See you there.
Happy Knitting
