Emily has been building up the yarns here at Mad About Ewe. In particular the Worsted weight wools.
For those of you who love the classic worsted wools, we now have several new yarns.
Swan’s Island Worsted Merino. This 100% certified organic merino is also dyed using natural dyes and has a wonderful kettle dyed look. 100grs gives you 250 yds of a gorgeous, soft merino.
Knit One, Crochet Too Meadow Silk. 70% highland wool and 30% tussah silk, beautiful hand, lovely sheen. 100grs and 200yds. This yarn has a highly defined twist with great stitch definition.
Cascade Casablanca. 59% wool, 24% silk and 17% mohair, self striping yarn, very similar in look and feet to Noro Silk Garden (which we also have a great stock of!), 220yds in 100grs. This yarn is priced more reasonably than the Noro. Check in the side bar for a link to the free patterns.
MadelineTosh Pashmina Worsted. This yarn has been long anticipated, same blend as the original Pashmina, 75% Merino, 15% silk and 10% cashmere. We have just got word that it has been shipped from Texas and should arrive this week! I’ll announce when it is in!
World Wide Knit-Out in Public – join us in the Courtyard June 15th from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm to celebrate our 4th Knit-Out! Bring a chair, some lunch and something to drink!
