Just because it is Spring.

We are all a little crazy right now!
I know that these next few weeks will be trying, as we deal with the Covid-19 Virus and its fallout. Most of us are at home dealing with all the concerns of the world as we know it changing in challenging ways.
- We need to stretch our budgets
- We need to teach our children
- We need to look after those we love
And all of that while practicing “Social Distancing”!

I deal with stress by knitting and right now we (and I) have more time to knit. Right now for me it is a little chaotic I am starting much more than I finish. I am indecisive. My brain is having issues with number and my focus is shattered. I know from talking to others that is common right now – another side effect of of Covid-19. We do have more time to knit and our minds will work into a new rhythm. When you are ready we will be there!
And while you can’t come into the store we can still help in the little ways. Since you can’t come in and pick one up – below are some of our favourite store patterns. There are lots of KAL’s out there right now. All of them aiming at helping us deal with social isolation and extra time on our hands. My favourite has been the Daily Quarantine Podcast by Arne and Carlos. Use the link or check out their Facebook Page.
I have started working on the next hat for the Purple Hats Campaign. I have decided to work with Chunky yarn this year so get a head start on your stash diving and looks for your purple chunky yarns. Here is a link to one of my favourite hats for the campaign, just in case you want to get an early start. It is a free download. Braid Lace Cap.

Remember that the yarns have to be at least 50% purple. I am sure that there are lots of other Charity knitting options out there. Sometimes we can be kind to ourselves by being kind to others.
I will try to blog more – share what we are doing and how we are coping!
Be Well and Happy Knitting
