Last week we received two Gorgeous new lace yarns!
The first yarn is a spun 100% kid mohair, hand-dyed in tonal colours and with a sheen like silk! This Colinton Lace yarn is amazing and needs to be touched! If you have never worked with a spun mohair you are in for a treat. Most laceweight mohairs are brushed – like the kid-silks – and in the brushing much of the natural sheen of mohair is lost. With this yarn the natural sheen will glow in every stitch!
Reywa’s Bloom is a 50% silk, 50% Yak down yarn – fine laceweight – 410 yds to 47grs, with a sheen and hand that will show off any lace pattern beautifully. We are planning a Pi shawl KAL to start in mid-May – Spring into Summer. Maybe this will be your yarn!
Reywa is a very new company and we are please to be the first in Canada to be carrying their yarn. Visit their website to learn more about them! They have more information about the Yak fibre. And a few free patterns as well!
We are waiting for another shipment from them with the 100% Yak yarn – Embrace! I am drooling already!
