Carole’s Cuties for the Purple Bucket Campaign!

Once Labour Day weekend is  over life seems to change as we enter the fall season.  We start to pack away the summer clothes and bring out our fall wardrobes.  This hold true for many knitters as well.  Those of you who don’t knit over the summer pull out your projects and review where you are at and what you want to do for Christmas.  Those of us who knit all year long, review our projects as well.  We put away the small items and start to look at yarn for a new sweater for the fall or some Christmas presents for family!  Whatever style of knitter you are – welcome to the fall.

There are lots of fall activities around the store.

  • The Purple bucket Campaign for Click for Babies has over a month left in its campaign!
  • I’m putting together some ideas for a Knit-a-long (KAL) to start at the end of September!  I’ll post my ideas later this week.  I have had a few suggestions from other knitters – a shawl, heavier and more wintery, a teacosy or even a simple sweater.  What would you be interested in?
  • Don’t forget to check out our classes and workshops for some great presents for Christmas.  Why not learn something new and knit a gift at the same time.  Bonus – the gift just may be for you!
  • New books and yarns are arriving all the time – check the table out next time you are in!

These are just a few of the new and noteworthy items happening!

Joyce’s new sweater!

Joyce is a very talented knitter and has been branching out into a little bit of designing, with a little help from us at the store and has designed her first sweater.  She is thrilled!  Here she is modeling it.  It is knit with CamelSpin, a sport weight silk/camel blend, hand-dyed from Handmaiden Yarns!
