It was a small but enthusiastic group of knitters that joined us on Saturday for our belated Knit-Out! The weather co-operated and did not shower us with any rain. It was actually almost perfect weather for sitting outside and knitting!
Next year I will have to make sure that the city does not have plans on the same day as we want for the Knit Out!
This week marks the start of the Purple Cap campaign. This campaign is designed to draw attention to and raise awareness of “Shaken Baby Syndrome”. Pull out the purple yarns from your stash and knit a couple of caps for the hat drive. These will get distributed throughout Maternity Wards on Vancouver Island. Bring your finished cap into the store and we will ensure that they get to where they need to go. The deadline for all purple caps is Sept 27, 2013.
Painting Class Update;
The project for the painting class is now finished and due to demand I will be opening up the class to those who just wish to knit the shawl and not be involved in the painting process.
