Canada 150 Eh!

Canada 150 Eh!

We are well into July and the Canada 150 Eh! Mystery KAL is moving along – Clue two was released on Ravelry Sunday morning.  I hope that you will join in!

Some fall yarns are starting to trickle in; new colours for Millefiore and

Sirdar Colour Wheel

Sirdar Colour Wheel

Tuscan Tweed by Berroco; Colourwheel by Sirdar is a new DK blend with a long slow stripe that comes with two patterns – you can start your Christmas knitting early with this one!

The next yarn is from Juniper Moon Farm – Stratus – a wool, yak, alpaca and nylon blend that knits 16 to 20 sts in 4 inches and feels like heaven!  We were so excited by this yarn that Emily has already started knitting a sweater sample for the store!

We are already carrying two other yarns from Juniper Moon Farm; Findley Dappled in both the Lace and DK weights and they don’t disappoint either!

CoBaSi - solids, tonals and multi

Lykke interchangeable needle points

Lykke interchangeable needle points

CoBaSi by Hikoo – is a wonderful Cotton Bamboo and Silk fingering weight blend.  We have carried the solids for quite a while and this week we have received a range of colours in both the Tonal and Multi Colours!  They are so pretty!

Have you seen the Lykke needles yet?  They have been a huge hit and have been backordered forever!  Lykke needles are so pretty.  They look like driftwood.  We have a few interchangeable points and cords in stock – they arrived last Friday – with more on the way!

Purple Caps have started to roll in for the Purple Cap Campaign.  We are seeing quite a few caps in different pattern and shades of purple!  These are perfect Summer knitting – small and portable!

Crosshatch shawl

Crosshatch shawl

Emily has just finished knitting the Crosshatch Shawl by Benjamin Matthews.  She used Mirai by Noro, Silky Wool by Elsebeth Lavold and Dos Tierra by Malabrigo.  The shawl was originally knit with just two yarns – but the introduction of the third colour really jazzed it up!

The Stratus sample is the Cloud pullover by Pamela Wynne (pattern in store).  Emily is already well into the body of this graceful cuddle-up sweater.

I hope that your Summer is progressing well;  your travels are busy – with just a little

knitting time included!; your garden is growing and your family is busy visiting!

Happy Knitting
