Pretty, Sparkly crystals for your lace!

How about you?

How about you?

Fall is here!  Winter is Coming – I am knitting as fast as I can!

Things are picking up around the store with new products arriving almost every day.  Yesterday we received a new shipment of beads, including some small crystals, 3mm perfect for lace knitting – the hematite are particularly sparkly! – some new colours of the Matsuna Dynamites – in both size 8/0 and 6/0.  We also brought in a few colours of the Delicas in size 8/0.

For those of you who are familiar with beads, you will recognize the Delicas name.  These beads are the highest quality Japanese beads.  They are perfectly even in size and have the largest hole, making it very easy to use them with your knits.

I was away last week and missed the arrival of the new yarn from Pollika.  Ancient Arts is a B.C. hand-dyer and we are very excited to be carrying her yarn.   We are carrying the  4-ply blue faced Leicester.

Too cute kits!

Also from Pollika, we have brought in a new line of Dutch felted doll kits from De Witte Engel.  These little kits are filled with everything you need to create a lovely small doll and all fibers are 100% wool.  Fairy dolls, mushroom dolls, – very cute!

Fall classes are starting up.  Next week the basic sock class will be starting – socks make great gifts.  And the Chihuly Chevron Glove class starts next week as well – are you looking for something new to learn?  Don’t forget that we run a wide selection of classes every Fall and Spring.  Check out our fall lineup of Classes and Workshops.

I am thinking that I might turn these into full mittens!

Are you working on either of the KAL projects?  I have almost finished my first Vitelottes fingerless mitten – except I think that I might turn these into full mittens! – the angora is so cozy and warm!

Brenda is almost finished her Beithe and I bet that Dorothy has almost finished her Vitelottes – she is so fast!

Happy Knitting
