I’ve just pulled the min blueberry muffins out of the oven for today’s stitch’n’bitch and I am wondering what happened to the beginning of the year! It is already the end of March! I’m already planning the workshops for the summer and the classes and workshops for the fall. Anyone looking for a project or class that they haven’t seen or tried yet?
Sharon just finished Dorthy’s Felted Tea-cosy class and showed me the beginning of the needle felting picture on the side – Too Cute!
This is a slightly different spring at the store – we still have lots of new products arriving and more to come! Last week saw the arrival of lots of new colours of Fleece Artist and Handmaiden. Lorna’s Laces Shepherd Sock and superwash Shepherd Worsted in several gorgeous colourways also arrived. We are waiting for Madelinetosh and Shibui yarns as well. So much still to look forward too!
We have a new line of circular needles, Chiao Goo stainless steel with very nice joins. These are a great needle for those who like a slicker surface and a sharper tip than the other needles.
From Leilani Arts, the Sari Ribbon has arrived. This yarn is made up of ribbons of mill ends, all hand-knotted together, each one is unique and gorgeous! Also from Leilani, a positively scrumptious handspun 100% Angora yarn – this one is heading into the stash or a new project for myself. New from Adriafil, some cotton yarns, one with a little sparkle in the form of a sequin and the other a cotton boucle surronded by some fine gauzy ribbon.
Last friday we started Mad About Ewe’s first ever KAL. Judging from the visits to the store and the interest of our knitters – we are going to see some gorgeous ruffles!
Both Dorothy and I started ours this weekend. There is lots of time to knit the scarf, check out our Ravelry Forum and join in the Chatter.
