Crazy Cape

Crazy Cape

Please call 250-754-0785 to sign up at Mad About Ewe – this workshop will run on a Saturday Oct 29th.

The crazy cape consists of stacking triangles; starting from the very small and doubling in size in each layer until the final very big triangle.   The cape is knit in two halves and then the back seam is sewn.

This workshop is suitable for advanced beginners.  Must be able to knit and understand basic knitting jargon.  You will learn how to pick-up and knit from the edges to create new triangles.

The cape is worked on 4.0mm needles straight or circular and will require a 3.5mm crochet hook for edging. Yarn requirements 1200 yds of fingering weight yarn for main shawl body and approx. 100 yds of contrasting or co-ordinating yarn for the edging.  Sample was worked with Zauberball 100.

Note – the stripes will not match as in the picture – the second half will be different from the first!  The picture is of the one piece of knitting mirrored to mock in the second side.

Hope to see you there!
