When: Knitting – July 9th from 10:00am to 4:30pm and if painting – Aug 27th from 10:00am to 4:30pm.

How Much? For knitting class only July 9th – $60.00. For both knitting and painting – $165.00 – If you desire to work the applied beaded edge, there will be an extra charge of $20.00 for the beads or you can bring your own.
Where: Heritage Mews, Outside in the courtyard or if it is raining, upstairs in the workroom. Note – if it is raining Aug 27th, an alternative date may be needed – there is no room to paint inside.
What: A frothy little shawl, designed in the top-down Faroese style with a fabulous lace edging and an additional beaded crochet edging if desired. Come to the first class and learn the techniques for the shawl, come to the second class and paint your finished shawl and dye the remaining yarn a colour of your choice for the applied edging.
Supplies: 1 hank of Goldiehair by Fleece Artist, a mohair/silk blend (if taking both classes, knitting and painting – the yarn will be provided); 5.0mm, US #9 32in circs; If working the extra beaded edge: 4.0mm hook; 2 pkgs leaf shaped drops; 1 box triangle beads and 1 box size 8/0 beads.
Homework: No homework before the knitting class – knitting your shawl between the first and second class.
Lunch: We will have about 45 to 60 minutes for lunch. There are quite a few restaurants in the area if you want to eat out, but you could also bring a bag lunch and eat at the workshop.
Breaks: There will be two short breaks as well, one in the morning and one in the afternoon. We will supply coffee and tea.
