Dorothy is Teaching
Ever wondered how to create those gorgeous two sided scarves and cowls that are making headlines in Vogue and other knitting magazines? They are knit using a double knitting technique. Dorothy is teaching double knitting this fall and the project is a gorgeous double knit cowl featuring a Scandinavian Star pattern.
Materials: 6 colours of 4-ply fingering yarn – Dorothy’s sample used a kit from Frabjous Fibers, Cheshire Cat Mini Skeins, plus a skein of Folio from Berroco; 3.75mm needles – straight or circular; 5 buttons, approx. 5/8 inch wide; markers and the regular notions.
Dorothy has been using a yarn guide that fits on your finger to help make the colourworking easier and has had great success with it – if you have one, bring it along as well.
Cost is $55.00
