So, here we are with my first “blog” – such an awe inspiring experience to be a “blogger”
Now all of the inane prattle that you get when you come in to the store can be experienced just by the click of your mouse.
There is nothing “inane” however about my infatuation with a new yarn that arrived in the store this week.
It is called EDO. It is 25% alpaca, 25% wool, & 50% microfibre. It feels very soft in the ball, and has a really interesting colour & texture combination, It has a subtle stripe as well.
The ball band suggests it be knit as DK, but I think I will knit it down to sport weight . I’ll let you know how it turns out.
June 13 will soon be upon us – that is “World Wide Knit in Public Day” No more closet knitters – this is the day to flaunt your stitches wherever you are.
You are all invited to bring your knitting and your lawn chair down to the Old City Quarter & join your fellow knitters in our courtyard on Saturday for a round of very public knitting – come when you can, stay as long as you wish.
I will appreciate the company, since Lynette & Emily will be in Columbus, Ohio for the TNNA, and they are leaving me here all alone.
My reward for this will be seeing all of the fabulous finds they will bring back – more about that from Lynette next week.
