Baby Hats!?

Hats for the Fall

Often as the temperature drops we look for quick and easy projects to keep the new babies in our lives warm and cozy.  Hats, toques, caps whatever you wish to call them are a great option.  They are quick to knit, can be a great first project or a more interesting quick knit.  All of these hats are knit in the round with no seams, what a great way to learn a new technique if you haven’t  tried circular knitting before.

In the last couple of months we have added more baby hats to our collection.

Ever popular KnitCol Hats

We have a few store patterns, including the ever popular KnitCol Hat and have now added a couple of free patterns from Crystal Palace Yarns (check out the links on the right hand side of the blog) and a very cute organic cotton and bamboo hat from Be Sweet, a company out of South Africa.

Baby Bambino from Be Sweet and “Checkers”.

Be Sweet is a South African womens cooperative that provides work and education for women in need.  If you like a little more interest in your knitting, Be Sweets’ striped cap with the picot hem and lace details in a variety of colours would make a great gift for a new Mom.  Or “Checkers”  the easy Fair Isle in cotton from Mission Falls would fit the bill.

The two new caps from Crystal Palace yarns are both non-wool options as well.  One a worsted in Bamboozle, a bamboo, cotton blend and the the other in Puffin, strips of fleece, that knits into a chunky toddler cap.

Take your pick!

Happy Knitting!!   Lynette
