Learn the basics of Sock Knitting – knitting in the round with dpn’s – turning a heel and grafting a toe. Work with heavier weight yarn to make a pair of boot socks. Once learned the techniques can be applies to any weight of sock yarn. Basic pattern for both worsted and 4-ply sock yarn will be provided as well as written grafting instructions.
Fear of Finishing – Workshop – $60.00 – Saturday – 9:30 am to 4:00 pm – Nov 19th.
Over the years this has been our most popular workshop. Learn mattress stitch for finishing seams; one row button-holes; I-cord and how and when to use it; 3 needle bind-off and a myriad of other tricks and techniques to make your finishing easier and make your garments look more polished.
There is home work for this class.
